1. Provider and scope
WordLens is provided by InfEngine Labs (苏州工业园区无限引擎软件开发工作室, “we” or “us”). These terms apply to the WordLens app, related content, and user support.
2. Software license
Subject to these terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license for personal use of WordLens on supported devices you own or control, except where Apple Family Sharing or volume-purchase rules expressly permit otherwise.
3. Restrictions
You may not use WordLens to infringe rights, distribute unlawful content, disrupt services, or bypass store purchase mechanisms. Unless applicable law expressly allows it, you may not copy, rent, sell, sublicense, reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract WordLens source code.
4. Content and intellectual property
WordLens software, interface, branding, and original content are protected by intellectual property laws. Dictionary data, open-source components, system voices, and third-party services may be governed by their own licenses or terms, and their owners retain their rights. You retain applicable rights in content you capture, import, or create.
5. WordLens Pro and billing
WordLens Pro is a non-consumable one-time purchase, not an auto-renewing subscription. It permanently unlocks the described Pro features on the purchasing platform, but permanent access does not guarantee that every feature or platform will remain unchanged as compatibility requirements evolve.
Apple App Store handles payment, taxes, purchase records, refunds, and revocations under its terms. A refund, revocation, fraud event, or loss of Family Sharing eligibility may remove Pro access after store synchronization.
6. Purchase restoration and local data
You may restore a purchase on supported devices using the Apple account that made it. Restoration restores Pro access only; it does not transfer words, scans, or learning history from another device. Use WordLens backup tools to move learning data and store exported files safely.
7. Updates, availability, and termination
We may update WordLens for security, compatibility, legal requirements, or product improvements. Device, operating system, region, store policy, and third-party component changes may affect some features.
If you materially breach these terms, we may terminate the license to the extent permitted by law. You must then stop using and delete WordLens. Provisions on intellectual property, liability, and disputes that should survive will remain effective.
8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, WordLens is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not warrant that OCR, dictionary definitions, pronunciation, or learning guidance will always be accurate, that the app will be uninterrupted, or that it is suitable for every purpose.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential loss, including lost data, profits, or business interruption. Our aggregate liability under these terms will not exceed the amount you paid for WordLens during the twelve months before the claim arose. Rights that consumer law does not allow us to exclude remain unaffected.
9. Apple App Store supplemental terms
You acknowledge that these terms are between you and InfEngine Labs, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for WordLens or its content. We, rather than Apple, are responsible for maintenance and support; Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support services.
If WordLens fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price where applicable. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation. We are responsible for product, legal-compliance, consumer-protection, and intellectual-property claims relating to WordLens.
You represent that you are not located in a country or region subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as supporting terrorism, and that you are not listed on a U.S. Government prohibited or restricted party list. You must comply with applicable third-party terms while using WordLens.
Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms. After you accept them, Apple may enforce the relevant provisions against you as a third-party beneficiary.
10. Governing law, changes, and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China. The parties should first try to resolve a dispute through good-faith discussion; unresolved disputes shall be submitted to a competent court in Suzhou. Mandatory consumer protections remain unaffected.
We may update these terms when features or legal requirements change and will identify the new effective date on this page. Email questions about these terms or WordLens support to support@infenginelabs.com.
